Mah Jongg Rhodies
At Mah Jongg Rhodies, we understand how to help you ride the Mah Jongg wave to deepen your community. Mah Jongg is a game enjoyed across generations that provides essential cognitive, tactile and social benefits that can carry across a lifetime. Our introductory course provides snackable learning in a fun and interactive environment to help participants develop good habits and be confident taking the seat at the Mah Jongg table.
OUR COURSES
Introduction to American Mah Jongg
Our introductory program is designed to help participants learn, play and connect with confidence at the Mah Jongg table. Offering 4-90 minute sessions, the course includes an official 2026 American Mah Jongg League Card as well as proprietary instructional handouts and complimentary items. We can also discuss tailoring a custom program to meet your needs.
Learn
We aren't just talking heads! Through our instructional sessions, visual and interactive challenges, members will learn the essential rules, etiquette and nuances of American Mah Jongg.
Play
With guided hands-on play, participants will put into practice what they've learned and gain confidence in navigating the basics of play, the 2026 Card, the Charleston and building a winning hand.
Connect
It's fun! With lot's of laughter, new cognitive and social connections are made which deepen member relationships and create new possibilities for club programming.

A dynamic duo
As two Rhode Island neighbors, we have witnessed the impact Mah Jongg can have on building community and understand there should always be room for one more at the Mah Jongg table.
We created Mah Jongg Rhodies to bring together our complementary skills, humor, experience and love for the game. Using key principles of learning, we are able to break through the complexity and appeal to different learning styles and objectives from casual to competitive play and build more confident players.
We are happy to discuss opportunities across Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
